Description

The Nomad Ensemble was founded in 2009 with the support of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, the Chukotka District, and the village of Lorino. The founder and artistic director is Evgeny Kaipanau (Uмка), a hereditary Chukchi, a keeper of traditions, a costume designer, and a stage manager. The ensemble has won awards at international festivals in Europe, the United States, South Korea, China, and Japan. The ensemble consists of true Chukchi culture bearers, ensuring maximum authenticity.
